اتهام كاردينال كاثوليكي بارز بارتكاب "سلوك غير لائق"

أفادت صحيفة "اوبزيرفر" البريطانية بأن ثلاثة قساوسة وقسا سابقا قدموا شكوى يتهمون فيها الكاردينال كيث اوبراين، رئيس الكنيسة الكاثوليكية الرومانية في اسكتنلندا، بـ"سلوك غير لائق"، مطالبين باستقالته على الفور.

وردت الكنيسة الكاثوليكية الاسكتلندية في بيان مؤكدة ان الكاردينال اوبراين ينفي التهم المنسوبة اليه، وسيتخذ الاجراءات القانونية.


وتنحى اوبراين عن بعض واجباته الرئيسية في الكنيسة الكاثوليكية في اسكتلندا العام الماضي، على خلفية تقدمه في السن، على ان يتقاعد الشهر المقبل بعد ان يبلغ الخامسة والسابعين من عمره.

وسيشارك ابراين في التصويت على اختيار خليفة البابا بينيدكتوس السادس عشر الذي استقال من منصبه في الثامن عشر من فبراير/شباط. ويعد أوبراين الممثل الوحيد لبريطانيا في انتخاب البابا الجديد.
سلوك غير لائق

وذكرت الصحيفة ان ثلاثة قساوسة وقسا سابقا لدى ابرشية القديس اندروز وادنبره تقدموا بشكواهم إلى ممثل البابا لدى بريطانيا، السفير الباباوي انطونيو مينيني، يتهمون فيها الكاردينال بارتكاب سلوك غير لائق في ثمانينيات القرن الماضي.

وجاءت الشكوى قبل الحادي عشر من فبراير / شباط، اي قبل اعلان البابا استقالته من منصبه.

وتقول الصحيفة ان القس السابق يزعم بأن الكاردينال اوبراين قد ارتكب بحقه سلوكا غير لائق عام 1980 بعد صلوات ليلية عندما كان طالبا في المعهد الاكليريكي في كلية القديس اندروز.

ويقول الشاكي انه تقدم باستقالته من منصبه كقس حينما شغل الكاردينال منصب اسقف.

وقال في بيانه: "أدركت وقتها انه سيمارس سلطته علي، وكان من المفترض ان اترك منصبي كقس كي اتزوج، ولم أفعل، وتخليت عن منصبي حفاظا على كرامتي."

وأفاد بيان ثان من أحد الشاكين الاخرين بأنه كان يقيم في ابرشية عندما زاره اوبراين، "وحدث بينهما سلوك غير لائق".

كذلك الشاكي الثالث تحدث عن تعرضه لـ"سلوك غير لائق" من قبل الكاردينال في ثمانينيات القرن الماضي بعد تناول بعض المسكرات في وقت متأخر من الليل.

واتهم الشاكي الرابع الكاردينال باللجوء الى الصلوات الليلية "كذريعة لارتكاب سلوك غير لائق".

ورجح روبرت بيجوت، مراسل الشؤون الدينية لدى "بي بي سي"، بأن يكون توقيت الاتهامات جاء الآن رغبة من الشاكين الاربعة في عدم مشاركة الكاردينال اوبراين في انتخاب البابا الجديد في الفاتيكان.

وتعتبر احتمالات عدم مشاركته "ضعيفة للغاية"، ليس بسبب نفيه الاتهامات فحسب، بل لأنه من الصعب منع كاردينال من ممارسة مهامه الباباوية ما لم تعتقله الدولة.

وعبّر الكاردينال كورماك مورفي اوكونر، كبير اساقفة ويستمينيستر السابق، لأحد برامج "بي بي سي" عن "حزنه الشديد" لسماع هذه الاتهامات بحق الكاردينال اوبراين.

واضاف "كانت هناك قضايا اخرى مثلت فضيحة كبرى للكنيسة خلال السنوات الماضية، واعتقد انه يتعين على الكنيسة ان تواجه بعض منها، وقد واجهت فعلا بعضها."

وقال: "لست أدري ما الذي ستفعله الكنيسة. اعتقد ان الكاردينال اوبراين يوشك على التقاعد، واعتقد ان استقالته، التي تتزامن بالفعل مع استقالة البابا، لكونه اقترب من سن الخامسة والسبعين، من المفترض قبولها".
انتخاب البابا

ويتولى الكاردينال اوبراين، المولود في باليكاسل منصب كبير اساقفة ابرشية القديس اندروز وادنبره منذ العام 1985.

وكان من اشد المعارضين صراحة لخطط تشريع زواج المثليين، كما صنفته جمعية "ستونوول" الخيرية لحقوق المثليين "متعصب العام" في نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني، بعد ان اثار عاصفة من الجدل بين المثليين.

وأعلن اوبراين يوم الجمعة الماضي انه لم يحدد بعد الاسم الذي سيصوت له كبابا جديداً خلال الاجتماع الخاص للكرادلة المقرر انعقاده الشهر المقبل.

وقال الكاردينال انه يعتقد ان الوقت قد حان لتولي بابا اصغر سنا المهام، وأن يكون من دولة نامية حيث تسجل الطائفة الكاثوليكية نموا كبيرا.

كما عبر عن تأييده لان يتزوج القساوسة وينجبون الاطفال اذا رغبوا بذلك.

جاء ذلك في وقت وقع فيه حوالى عشرة الاف شخص في الولايات المتحدة التماسا يدعون فيه الكاردينال الكاثوليكي عن لوس أنجليس روجر ماهوني، الى عدم المشاركة في الانتخابات التي ستختار البابا الجديد، على خلفية فضائح جنسية.
