بريطانيا وأمريكا تخططان للاستيلاء على الأسلحة الكيماوية السورية أو تدميرها
كشفت صحيفة صندي تليغراف اليوم الأحد، أن القادة العسكريين البريطانيين والأمريكيين وضعوا خططاً للإستيلاء على مخزون سوريا من الأسلحة الكيماوية أو تدميرها، في حال إنزلقت البلاد إلى مزيد من الفوضى.

وقالت الصحيفة إن القادة العسكريين يخشون من احتمال وقوع الأسلحة الكيماوية التي تسيطر عليها القوات الموالية لنظام الرئيس بشار الأسد في أيدي المسلحين عند انهياره بشكل تام، مشيرة الى أن ضباطاً بريطانيين وأمريكيين بارزين أجروا محادثات أيضاً ناقشوا خلالها مجموعة من الخطط الطارئة لمنع الأسلحة الكيماوية أو الجرثومية أو النووية في سوريا من الوقوع في أيدي المسلحين.

وأضافت أن القادة العسكريين البريطانيين والأمريكيين يخشون أيضاً من سيطرة المسلحين على أسلحة الدمار الشامل في باكستان أو كوريا الشمالية في حال سقوط نظاميهما، فيما أكد مسؤول بريطاني رفيع أن إيران تسبب أيضاً قلقاً كبيراً للحكومات الغربية.

وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن الإستخبارات البريطانية تعتقد أن سوريا جمعت ترسانة ضخمة من أسلحة الدمار الشامل، بما في ذلك غازات الأعصاب السامة مثل السارين والذي يُعد أحد الأسلحة الكيماوية الأكثر فتكاً، وغاز الخردل، وتُعتبر الآن محمية جيداً من قوات قوات الأمن السورية.

ونسبت إلى مصادر استخباراتية قولها "إن جماعات إسلامية متطرفة تقاتل القوات الحكومية داخل سوريا وصارت في موقع يمكّنها من مداهمة مخزونات أسلحة الدمار الشامل، والخيار الأكثر إحتمالاً لمنع وقوع هذه الأسلحة في أيديها سيكون تدمير المخزونات في سلسلة من الغارات الجوية".

وأضافت المصادر أن الخيارات الأخرى "تشمل استخدام القوات الخاصة والقوات المدربة على الحرب الكيماوية لتأمين مواقع أسلحة الدمار الشامل في سوريا، عند الإنهيار الوشيك لحكومتها في نهاية المطاف".

وكشفت صندي تليغراف أيضاً، أن وحدة التعامل مع الأسلحة الكيماوية والبيولوجية والإشعاعية في سلاح الجو الملكي البريطاني طُلب منها الإستعداد للعمل جنباً إلى جنب مع القوات الخاصة البريطانية لتأمين مواقع أسلحة الدمار الشامل في سوريا خلال فترة قصيرة.

وقالت إن هيئة مقرها الولايات المتحدة، تُعرف باسم جماعة العمل الإستراتيجية وتتألف من عسكريين من الجيش الأمريكي ومشاة البحرية الأمريكية وضباط بريطانيين وأستراليين ومسؤولين حكوميين، بدأت الأسبوع الماضي تدريبات على كيفية تأمين مخزونات أسلحة الدمار الشامل في منطقتي الشرق الأوسط والمحيط الهادئ عند وقوع حالة طوارئ دولية.

وأضافت الصحيفة أن مصادر دفاعية أكدت أن إحدى النتائج غير المقصودة "للربيع العربي" كان الحجم الهائل من الأسلحة غير المشروعة التي دخلت إلى سوريا، وعمّقت المخاوف بشأن ما قد يحدث فيها إذا ما فقد نظام الأسد السيطرة على أسلحة الدمار الشامل.

ونسبت إلى المصادر قولها "إن أسلحة للدفاع الجوي تُحمل على الكتف قادرة على إسقاط الطائرات فُقدت عقب إنهيار ليبيا، ونحن نعلم أن سوريا لديها ترسانة واسعة جداً والكثير من الأسلحة الكيماوية ونحتاج لضمان عدم وقوعها في أيدي المسلحين".
