السعودية تزود المعارضة السورية بأسلحة كرواتية
ذكر مسؤولون أمريكيون وغربيون أن السعودية مولت شراء كميات من الأسلحة الكرواتية وزودت المعارضة السورية بها سراً.

ونقلت صحيفة (نيويورك تايمز) الأمريكية عن المسؤولين قولهم انه في مسعى منها لكسر حالة الجمود الدامية التي أتاحت للرئيس السوري بشار الأسد بالتمسك بالسلطة، مولت السعودية عملية كبيرة لشراء أسلحة من كرواتيا ونقلتها سراً إلى القوات المناهضة للحكومة في سوريا.

وأشار المسؤولون إلى أن هذه الأسلحة الكرواتية بدأت تصل إلى "الثوار" في ديسمبر الماضي عبر شحنات تمر في الأردن، وكانت عاملاً في المكاسب التكتيكية الصغيرة التي حققها الثوار السوريون خلال فصل الشتاء ضد الجيش والميليشيات الموالية للأسد.

وإذ لفتت إلى أن العواصم الإقليمية والغربية إمتنعت طوال شهور عن تسليح الثوار خوفاً من وصول الأسلحة إلى الأيدي الخاطئة، إلا أن المسؤولين قالوا إن قرار إرسال مزيد من الأسلحة يستهدف أحد مخاوف الغرب من دور الجماعات الجهادية في المعارضة.

واعتبرت أن خطوة تسليح المعارضة تؤشر إلى إعتراف داعميها العرب والغربيين بأن نجاحها في دفع الجيش السوري بعيداً عن قسم كبير من شمال البلاد أفسح المجال أمام حملة بطيئة تستمر فيها التكاليف الإنسانية في الزيادة.

ولفتت الصحيفة إلى أن دور واشنطن في شحنات الأسلحة، إن وجد، ليس واضحاً، مشيرة إلى أن مسؤولين أوروبيين وأمريكيين رفضوا التعليق على الموضوع علناً نظراً لحساسية الشحنات.

إلا أن مسؤولاً رفيعاً في الإدارة الأمريكية وصف الشحنات بأنها "تنضج قدرات المعارضة اللوجيستية"، غير أنه أشار إلى أن المعارضة ما زالت هشة ومفككة وغير متماسكة وشراء السعودية الأسلحة "ليس نقطة تحول في حد ذاته".

وأضاف المسؤول أن إيران، بشحناتها إلى الحكومة السورية، ما زالت تتفوق على ما أرسلته الدول العربية إلى الثوار.

فيما قال مسؤول آخر أن إيران تنقل جواً الأسلحة بشكل دائم إلى سوريا .

هذا ولفت المسؤولون إلى أن طائرات مدججة بالأسلحة غادرت كرواتيا منذ ديسمبرعندما بدأت تظهر في سوريا أسلحة يوغوسلافية في تسجيلات نشرها الثوار على موقع (يوتيوب).

ورأوا أن هذه الأسلحة كانت من ضمن فائض الأسلحة غير المعلن عنه لدى كرواتيا بعد حرب البلقان في تسعينيات القرن الماضي.

وذكر مسؤول غربي أن الشحنات إلى الثوار تضمنت "آلاف البنادق ومئات الرشاشات".

لكن وزارة الخارجية الكرواتية نفت مثل هذه الشحنات، فيما رفض مسؤولون سعوديون وأردنيون التعليق على الموضوع.

وقالت المتحدثة باسم وزارة الخارجية الكرواتية دانييلا باريسيك في اتصال هاتفي مع الصحيفة أنه منذ بدأ "الربيع العربي"، لم تبع كرواتيا أية أسلحة إلى السعودية أو الثوار السوريين.
