مقتل أبو زيد أحد أبرز قياديي "القاعدة" في مالي
ذكرت مصادر أن قوات فرنسية قتلت عبدالحميد أبو زيد، أحد أبرز القادة مرهوبي الجانب في تنظيم القاعدة ببلاد المغرب الإسلامي خلال عملية ضد المقاتلين الإسلاميين في شمال مالي الجبلي.

وأضافت أن أبو زيد كان بين 40 متشدداً قتلوا قبل نحو ثلاثة أيام عند سفوح جبال "أدرار إيفوغاس" قرب الحدود الجزائرية.

وتطارد قوات فرنسية وتشادية المقاتلين هناك بعد حملة خاطفة لطردهم من شمال مالي. ولم يتمكن مسؤولون من الجزائر ومالي وتشاد من تأكيد مقتل أبو زيد.

وأكدت مسؤولة بالجيش الفرنسي مقتل نحو 40 إسلامياً في معارك عنيفة الأسبوع الماضي في منطقة "تاغار "غارة الجبلية، لكنها رفضت التعليق بشأن أبو زيد.

وقالت إن 1200 من القوات الفرنسية و800 من القوات التشادية وبعض عناصر الجيش المالي لا يزالون يقاتلون إلى الجنوب من "تيساليت" في سلسلة جبال أدرار.

وأضافت أنه تم تدمير تسعة مواقع دعم وإمداد ومصنع للمتفجرات في العملية، فضلا عن 16 عربة.
و في آخر ما أعلنت عنه مصادر جد مطلعة, أن الحركة الوطنية للأزواد تؤكد مقتل "عبد الحميد أبو زيد" أمير الصحراء في تنظيم القاعدة في بلاد المغرب الإسلامي وتكشف إعتقال ثلاثة من مرافقيه من طرف القوات الفرنسية.

وينظر إلى أبو زيد باعتباره أحد أشد نشطاء القاعدة في بلاد المغرب الإسلامي قسوة, وهو جزائري كان يعمل في التهريب في السابق.

ويعتقد أنه مسؤول عن خطف أكثر من 20 غربياً في الصحراء الكبرى التي تفتقر للقانون خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية ليدر على التنظيم عشرات الملايين من الدولارات في صورة فدى.

ويعتقد أيضا أنه أعدم البريطاني أدوين دير في 2009 والفرنسي ميشيل جيرمانو (78 عاما) في 2010.
