-كان ذات يوم جحا يتسوق .. فجاءه رجل من الخلف وناوله
كفا على خده.. فالتفت جحا إليه وأراد أن يتعارك معه.. ولكن
الرجل اعتذر بشدة قائلا: آسف يا سيدي..فقد ظننتك فلانا...
لم يقبل هذا العذر جحا وأصر على محاكمته .. ولما علا الصياح
بينهما اقترح الناس أن يذهبا إلى القاضي ليحكم بينهما، فذهبا إلى
القاضي وصادف أن ذلك القاضي له صلة قرابة بالجاني .. ولما سمع
القاضي القصة غمز لقريبه بعينه (يعني لا تقلق فسأخلصك من هذه
الورطة). ثم أصدر القاضي حكمه بأن يدفع الرجل مبلغ 20 دينارا ً
لـجحا عقوبة على ضربه..فقال الرجل: ولكن يا سيدي القاضي ليس
معي شيئ الآن .. فقال القاضي، وهو يغمز له: أذهب واحضرها حالا،
وسينتظرك عندي جحا حتى تحضرها، فذهب الرجل وأنتظر جحا في مجلس
القاضي ينتظر غريمه ليحضر المال..ولكن طال الإنتظار .. ومرت
الساعات ولم يحضر الرجل .. ففهم جحا الخدعة .. خصوصا أنه كان
يبحث عن تفسير لإحدى الغمزات التي وجهها القاضي لغريمه .. فماذا
فعل جحا يا ترى ؟ قام وتوجه إلى القاضي وصفعه على خده صفعة
طارت منها عمامته، و قال له: إذا أحضر غريمي المبلغ فاحتفظ به
لنفسك حلالا طيبا....... وانصرف.

- استأجر رجل دارا، وكان خشب السقف يقرقع كثيرا من كثرة
الإهتراء، فلما جاء صاحب الدار عند نهاية الشهر يطالب بالأجرة
قال له المستأجر: أصْلِحْ هذا السقف فإنه يقرقع، قال: لا بأس
عليك، فإنه يسبح الله، فاجابه الرجل: أخاف أن يزداد خشوعه
فيسجد.

- كان أمير البلد يزعم أنه يعرف نظم الشعر، فأنشد يوما قصيدة أمام
شاعر مسن وقال له: أليست بليغة؟ فقال الشاعر: ليست بها رائحة
البلاغة تماما. فغضب الأمير وأمر بحبسه في الإسطبل، فقعد محبوسا مدة
شهر ثم أخرجه. وفي يوم آخر نظم الأمير قصيدة وأنشدها الشاعر، فقام
هذا الأخير مسرعا، فسأله الأمير: إلى أين يا شاعر؟ فقال: إلى الإسطبل
يا سيدي .
