الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية تنفي تورطها بمرض هوغو تشافيز
رفضت الولايات المتحدة أمس الثلاثاء الإتهامات التي وجهتها ضدها فنزويلا بأنها قد تكون مسؤولة عن إصابة الرئيس الفنزويلي هوغو تشافيز بمرض السرطان معتبرة الإتهام "أمرا عبثيا"، وذلك قبل ساعات من إعلان وفاته.

وقال المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الأمريكية باتريك فانتريل إن "القول بأن الولايات المتحدة ضالعة بشكل ما بما يسمى مرض الرئيس تشافيز هو أمر عبثي، ونحن نرفض بشدة هذا الإتهام".

وأضاف في بيان أن بلاده ترفض بشدة إدعاءات الحكومة الفنزويلية التي قالت إن الولايات المتحدة ضالعة في مؤامرة لزعزعة إستقرارها.

وأوضح أنه على الرغم من الخلافات العميقة بين البلدين، فإن الولايات المتحدة سعت إلى إقامة علاقات منتجة ولكن "التأكيدات الخاطئة" التي تستهدف واشنطن تظهر أن كراكاس "لم تكن معنية بتحسين هذه العلاقات".

وكان نيكولاس مادورو -نائب الرئيس الفنزويلي، والذي تولى منصب الرئاسة اليوم خلفا لتشافيز- قد أعلن أمس الثلاثاء طرد الملحق العسكري الأمريكي ديفد ديلمونيكو من البلاد، متهماً إيّاه بالتخطيط لمؤامرة ضد حكومة فنزويلا.

وقال مادورو -في إجتماع عاجل للحكومة لبحث الحالة المتدهورة للرئيس- إن لدى ديلمونيكو 24 ساعة ليغادر فنزويلا، وأضاف أن حكومته أرسلت بلاغاً بذلك إلى واشنطن.

وصرح مادورو في الإجتماع بأنه يجب إحترام القوات المسلحة الفنزويلية، مؤكدا أن حكومة بلاده "تقتفي أثر عناصر أخرى مكونة لهذا المخطط السام الذي يرمي إلى توليد إضطرابات في البلاد".

واتهم واشنطن بحياكة مؤامرات ضد بلاده على الأصعدة الإقتصادية والسياسية والعسكرية، مرجّحا أن يكون مرض السرطان الذي أصيب به شافيز هو نتيجة مؤامرة ضده، ومشيراً إلى أن الحكومة ستشكّل لجنة للتحقيق في هذه القضية.

ومن ناحيته، أكد المتحدث باسم وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية تود بريسيل في بيان أمس الثلاثاء نبأ طرد ديلمونيكو من فنزويلا وقال إنه في طريقه إلى الولايات المتحدة، وأضاف أن بلاده قد تلجأ إلى المعاملة بالمثل بحق الدبلوماسيين الفنزويليين بموجب معاهدة جنيف للعلاقات الدبلوماسية.

وبعد ساعات من هذه التصريحات، أعلن مادورو عبر التلفزيون الرسمي وفاة شافيز (58 عاما) بعد نحو أسبوعين من عودته إلى بلاده عقب رحلة علاج في كوبا استمرت شهرين.

وقال الرئيس الأميركي باراك أوباما في بيان "في هذا الوقت الصعب برحيل الرئيس هوغو تشافيز فإن الولايات المتحدة تؤكد دعمها لشعب فنزويلا واهتمامها بإقامة علاقات بناءة مع حكومة فنزويلا".

وأضاف أن فنزويلا تبدأ فصلاً جديداً في تاريخها، وأن الولايات المتحدة تبقى ملتزمة بسياساتها التي تروج المبادئ الديمقراطية وحكم القانون واحترام حقوق الإنسان.
