difference between across and through

we use across to describe an object moving from one side to another side on it.
Across is used for a movement in a two-dimensional space.
Exemple
(The man run across the road. (he was on the road
(Rania walked across the street. (she was on the street
(I am walking across the desert. ( I am on the desert

we used through to describ an object moving from one side of a thing to another side in it.
Through is used for a movement in a three-dimensional space.
Exemple
(He drove through the tunnel. (he was in the tunnel
.The tourist walked through the forest
(He went through the market. (he was in the market
