كان منهمكاً في عمله

عندما جاءه اتصال من المدرسة يسأله لماذا لم يأتِ ابنه إلى المدرسة اليوم؟

حاول الاتصال بزوجته المسؤولة عن أخذ الولد وإرجاعه فلم ترد.

فبدأ يساوره القلق!

ولم يستطع إنهاء الرسالة الإلكترونية التي كان يكتبها لمديره

لأن يديه بدأت ترتجفان. فغادر مسرعاً ليستطلع الأمر،

وكاد أن يعمل عدة حوادث بسيارته.

وصل فوجد باب المنزل مفتوحاً والأولاد يلعبون أمام البيت بملابس النوم!

دلف إلى البيت فوجد كل شيء رأساً على عقب!

بدأ بالمطبخ فإذا صحون الطعام طائشة في كل مكان،

والثلاجة مفتوحة، والحليب ينسكب داخلها! ولم يشم أي رائحة لطبخة اليوم!
نادى زوجته فلم ترد.



فدخل غرفة المعيشة فوجدها تعج بالفوضى:

المصباح مكسور، والأرض ملآى بالمخلّفات،

ولعب الأطفال متناثرة،

والتلفاز مفتوح على قناة لا تناسب الأطفال

! يا إلهي! ماذا حدث؟
ذهب باتجاه غرف النوم فإذا الوضع أسوأ!

المياه تغطي أرض الحمام، والمناشف مرمية على الأرض،

والمناديل مبللة، وفراشي الأسنان في المغسلة،

ومعجون الأسنان يلطخ كل شيء!
هل هي مريضة؟ متعبة؟ نائمة؟ خرجتْ ولم تعد؟

ناداها فلم ترد. فاندفع إلى غرفة النوم فوجدها مستلقية على سريرها تقرأ كتاباً!
كاد ينفجر من الغيظ! لكن ابتسامتها خففت من غضبه. فسألها:

ما الذي جرى لك اليوم؟ فأجابت: لا شيء!

فكاد ينفجر مرة أخرى، لكنه تمالك نفسه وقرر أن يستمع لبقية كلامها!

تابعت: كل يوم أشكو إليك تعبي فتسألني: وماذا عملتِ؟ فأنا اليوم لم أعمل شيئاً!
أدرك سعيد أن زوجته تقوم بعمل قد يفوق عمله الذي يأخذ عليه راتبه،

وأنها تبذل من الجهد ما قد يفوق درجة تحمله هو!
فراح يطيّب خاطرها، ثم أخذ بيدها وبدآ معاً في إعادة الأمور إلى أوضاعها.

وبعد أكثر من ساعتين عاد إلى البيت رونقه، لكنهم لم يكونوا قد تناولوا طعامهم،

فقرر أن يذهبوا جميعاً إلى المطعم مكافأة لها على تفانيها في أعمالها التي كان يظنها لا شيء!
سؤال فى منتهى الصراحة ماذا كنت سوف تعمل اذا حصل معك هذا؟
