ايهما احمق : جحا ام اشعب

جحا

سأل جحا يوماً زوجته كيف تعرفين الحي من الميت؟ قالت: إن الرجل إذا مات بردت أطرافه الأربعة فإذا رأيت إنسانا قد برد على هذا الشكل فسارع إلى دفنه. فحفظ ذلك جحا في مخيلته. وقال إن الموت أقرب للإنسان من شراك نعله.حتى كان يوم بارد تجمد الصقيع فيه على النوافذ فاحتاج أن يجمع فيه الحطب للتدفئة فخرج يحتطب في غابة قريبة، فأطال البحث حتى ملأ وعاءه من بقايا الأخشاب وأفنان الشجر.
وإذ استغرق مكثه في البرية في ذلك اليوم البارد فقد لا حظ جحا على نفسه أن أطرافه الأربعة بردت.
فقال في نفسه يا جحا لقد مت ولا شك حسبما قالت لك زوجتك! فاستلقى على ظهره وهو يتأمل نفسه الميت وترك حماره يسرح أمام عينه.
وبينما هو على هذه الحالة إذ جاء قطيع من الذئاب فهجم على الحمار فافترسه في ساعة من نهار في ذلك اليوم البارد وجحا يتأمل المنظر ولا يفعل شيئا لحماره لأنه ميت! والميت لا يملك نفعا ولا ضرا! وأخيرا رفع جحا رأسه قليلاً ثم تمتم قائلاً: أيها الجبناء تعرفون أن صاحبه ميت فأكلتموه وأيم الله لو كنت حياً لعرفت كيف أؤدبكم على فعلتكم هذه.

قيل لأشعب الطماع: لقد لقيت التابعين وكثيراً من الصحابة، فهل رويت مع علو سنك حديثاً عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ؟ فقال: نعم، حدثني عكرمة عن ابن عباس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: خلتان لا تجتمعان في مؤمن. قيل: وما هما ؟ قال: نسيت واحدةً، ونسي عكرمة الأخرى.
