بريطانيا تملك أدلة على كيماوي سوريا
ذكرت صحيفة التايمز البريطانية، اليوم السبت، أن علماء من الجيش البريطاني عثروا على أدلة طبية-شرعية تؤكد استخدام أسلحة كيمياوية في سوريا، وذلك بعد يوم واحد على كشف دبلوماسيين في الأمم المتحدة عن امتلاك بعض الدول الغربية أدلة في هذه القضية.

وقالت مصادر في وزارة الدفاع البريطانية إن عينة من التراب أخذت من منطقة قريبة من العاصمة دمشق، ووصلت بشكل سري إلى بريطانيا تكشف أن "نوعا من الأسلحة الكيمياوية" قد استعمل بالفعل في النزاع بسوريا.

ووفقا للتقرير الصحفي الذي نشر على الصفحة الأولى من التايمز، فإن التجارب نقلت إلى قسم الأبحاث الكيمياوية والبيولوجية في وزارة الدفاع البريطانية في بورتون داون.

ولم تستطع الوحدة البريطانية أن تؤكد ما إذا كانت الأسلحة قد استعملت من قبل الحكومة السورية أو من قبل المعارضة المسلحة، وما إذا كان استعمال هذه الأسلحة منتظما.

إلا أن التايمز قالت إن هذه الأدلة من شأنها أن تدفع منظمة الأمم المتحدة إلى اتخاذ اجراءات عقابية ضد الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد.

وفي حين رفضت وزارة الدفاع الإدلاء بتعقيب على هذا التقرير، أبدت وزارة الخارجية "قلقها العميق" إزاء احتمال استعمال أسلحة كيمياوية في سوريا.

كما قال متحدث في الوزارة "لقد أعربنا عن قلقنا للأمين العام للأمم المتحدة (بان غي مون)، ونحن ندعم قراره في اجراء تحقيق" في استخدام أسلحة كيماوية في سوريا.

يأتي هذا التقرير بعد أن أعلن دبلوماسيون غربيون عن امتلاك أدلة قوية على استخدام أسلحة كيمياوية مرة واحدة على الأقل في النزاع الدائر في سوريا منذ مارس 2011.

يشار إلى أن المعارضة المسلحة والحكومة السورية تبادلتا الاتهام بالمسؤولية عن 3 هجمات مزعومة بأسلحة كيماوية، بينهما هجومان وقعا في مارس الماضي في خان العسل قرب حلب، وفي منطقة قريبة من دمشق، في حين وقع الثالث في حمص في ديسمبر 2012.

وطلبت دمشق، الاثنين الماضي، من الأمم المتحدة أن يقتصر التحقيق على هجوم خان العسل، ورفضت طلب الأمين العام بنشر محققين دوليين للتحقيق في استخدام السلاح الكيماوي في عدة مناطق من البلاد.

جدير بالذكر أن دولا عدة حذرت مرارا الحكومة السورية من اللجوء إلى استخدام أسلحة كيمياوية في حربها ضد المعارضة المسلحة، في حين تؤكد دمشق أنها لو امتلكت مثل هذه الأسلحة فلن تستخدمها ضد الشعب.
