يمثل الجزائر 182 رياضي في 19 اختصاصا في العاب البحر الأبيض المتوسط بمدسنة مارسين (تركيا) المقررة من 20 الى 30 جوان, حسبما اعلنه يوم الثلاثاء رئيس اللجنة الاولمبية الجزائرية, مصطفى بيراف.
ويتعلق الامر باختصاصات: العاب القوى الكرة الحديدية, الملاكمة, الدرجات, الجمباز, رفع الاثقال, كرة اليد, كرة السلة, الكرة الطائرة, الجيدو, الكاراتي, السباحة, التنس, تنس الطاولة, الشراع, التجذيف, المصارعة, الرماية والرمي بالقوس.
وسيضم الوفد الجزائري الأول 250 شخص ويتوجه يوم 18 جوان الى مدينة مارسين بينما انطلاق الوفد الثاني مقررة ليوم 26 جوان.
وصرح بيراف قائلا " تحضير المشاركة الجزائرية في الالعاب المتوسطية بدأ يوم 16 مارس المنصرم بتنصيب لجنة تحضير اولمبية".
وتعرف العاب البحر الابيض المتوسط لسنة 2013 مشاركة 4000 رياضي من 24 بلدا في 32 اختصاصا الى جانب رياضات لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
وقال مسؤول الهيئة الاولمبية الجزائرية ان " نقل الوفد الجزائري سيكون مضمونا من طرف الخطوط الجوية الجزائرية بفضل الاتفاقية المبرمة بين الطرفين. واللباس الرسمي للرياضيين الجزائريين ستصممه شركة وطنية, مضيفا إلى أن ثلاث شركات دولية تتنافس من اجل اللباس الرياضي".
وبخصوص عدد الميداليات التي تتوقع الاتحاديات الجزائرية احرزاها خلال الالعاب المتوسطية, أبدى السيد بيراف "تحفظاته", مشيرا الى أن "هذه المسالة خاصة بالاتحاديات التي قدمت تعهداتها لوزارة الشباب و الرياضة. اللجنة الاولمبية الجزائرية تتكفل بمتابعة الحركة الرياضية من أجل تمثيل أحسن خلال موعد مارسين".
وأضاف, " ما أستطيع قوله هو ان الرياضة الجزائرية تقهقرت نوعا ما و الالعاب المتوسطية-2013 هي مناسبة من اجل تصحيح هذه الوضعية بالنسبة لبعض الفديراليات.
للتذكير, كان من المنتظر أن تحتضن مدينتا فلوس ولريسا الالعاب المتوسطية غير أن أسبابا مادية حالت دون ذلك. واختارت اللجنة الدولية للالعاب المتوسطية التي يترأسها الجزائري عمار عدادي في اخر المطاف المدينة الجديدة بمارسين التركية لاستضافتها.
