ثعابين ضخمة يصل طولها إلى ثمانية أقدام تغزو لندن
تعاني منطقة وسط لندن من غزو لثعابين ضخمة يصل طولها إلى ثمانية أقدام، قادرة على قتل قطط وكلاب صغيرة. وقالت صحيفة "ديلي ميل" البريطانية: "اندلع جدل بعد أن أعلنت منظمة غير حكومية بريطانية أن الثعابين من "النوع العدائي"، والتي قد تهاجم أي شخص، ورغم ذلك فقد تعيش في منطقة رجينتس كنال في لندن لعقود وبسلام". وأوضحت الصحيفة أنه لا أحد يعرف مصدر هذه الثعابين ومن أين جاءت، إلا أن بعض الخبراء أشاروا إلى أن أصولها قد تعود إلى ثعابين هربت من حديقة حيوانات لندن منذ سنوات عديدة. وأكدت منظمة غير حكومية أن الثعابين غير سامة، وتتغذى على الحيونات الصغيرة، من خلال الإلتفاف حولها وخنقها. وطالبت المنظمة بالسيطرة على هذه الثعابين وقتلها بسرعة قبل أن يزداد عددها وتزداد مشاكلها.
