أب يراهن على إبنته في لعب القمار ويخسرها

ذكرت صحيفة “تايمز أوف إنديا” أن أباً يدعى إسماعيل شيخ، من سكان قرية في “ويست بنغال”، قد خسر ابنته المراهقة في لعبة قمار بعدما راهن عليها وعرضها على منافسه لأنه خسر جميع أمواله ولم يبق لديه ما يراهن عليه. وقال كبير ضباط الشرطة، ستياجيت باندهوبادهيا، الذي يحقق في القضية “أن إسماعيل خسر مجدداً في اللعب فيما فاز منافسه بالفتاة.” وبدأت الشرطة مطاردة مصطفى الفائز لإسترداد الفتاة، التي قال شهود عيان أنه إصطحبها قسراً رغم احتجاجها. وتقول أسرة الفتاة إن الوالد مدمن على القمار وشرب الكحول إلا أنه تعدى كافة الحدود بخسارته ابنته في لعب القمار، مما دفعها لطرده خارج البيت. ورغم أن القانون الهندي يحظر القمار، تنتشر الآلاف من المحلات المتخصصة في القمار في الخفاء، تجتذب إليها الفقراء الساعين نحو حلم الكسب السريع.
