مدير عام الأمن العام ينجو من تفجير انتحاري
فجّر انتحاري آلية كان يقودها عند حاجز لقوى الأمن الداخلي اللبناني في منطقة ضهر البيدر في البقاع.

ومن المعلومات الأولية المتوافرة أن الآلية التي انفجرت، وهي كناية عن "بيك آب" محمل بالخضار، اشتبه بها في منطقة صوفر (التي تقع جغرافياً قبل نقطة ضهر البيدر للمتوجه من بيروت باتجاه البقاع) وعندما وصلت إلى الحاجز، قام السائق بتفجيرها، بعد أن طلب منه أحد عناصر الحاجز التوقف للتفتيش. وأدى التفجير إلى مقتل شخص من قوات الأمن، وإصابة 32 شخصاً بحسب الحصيلة الأولية للصليب الأحمر اللبناني، واحتراق أكثر من 4 سيارات بالكامل.

وتعقيباً على التفجير، أعلن اللواء عباس ابراهيم مدير عام الأمن العام اللبناني، أن الإنفجار كان يستهدف موكبه التمويهي وأنه حصل بعد مرور السيارة التي كان يقودها بلحظات.
