"Thank Allah" or "Thanks, Allah"

Salam Alaikum peeps;

To understand which expression is right, we need first to know what both mean:

Thank Allah or Thank God means the speaker is telling his friends or whoever that he is thankful to Allah.
Thank Allah is actually a shortened version of "Thanks to be to Allah/God"

The second expression "Thanks,Allah" is said when you are conversing directly or praying to Allah, but the speaker here should notice the word Thanks is an informal way of saying "Thank you". So it is highly unappropriate to adress Allah the Almighty informally
.
