سمك الصحراء (الشرشمان) هو حيوان صغير أليف لايتجاوز طوله الــ 10سم حيث يعتبر و يصنف من الحيوانات النادرة والمهددة بالإنقراض و التي تعيش بالصحراء و يلقب بسمك الصحراءلأنه يسبح مثل الأسماك لكن ليس في البحر طبعا بل في الرمال الشرشمان هذا لا يظهر إلا في وقت الحر.... و هويعيش على افتراس العقارب و الخنافس و غيرها .
يتواجد هذا الحيوان وبكثرة بالجنوب الشرقي الجزائري مع الحدود التونسية وبالضبط بمدينة الوادي و ما جاورها والشرشمان يعدّ لحمه دواء لعدة أمراض خبيثة كالسرطان والعجز الجنسي وفقر الدم وغيرها...............صيد الشرشمان يستهوي شريحة واسعة من المجتمع الصحراوي بالجزائر .. تشهد مختلف مناطق الوادي بشكل خاص والولايات الصحراوية عموما بالجنوب الجزائري هذه الأيام إنتشارا واسعا لظاهرة صيد أسماك الصحراء كما تسمى لدى اهل العلم والمعرفة او الشر شمان لدى عامة الناس وهو نوع من السحليات ذات قيمة كبيرة من حيث الغذاء أو الأهمية لدى شريحة واسعة من المجتمع الصحراوي بالجزائر الذي تعتبرها فئة منه مصدر رزق مؤقت ايضا وأساسي في بعض الأحيان.ويعد شهرا مايو و جون الأنسب من حيث الزمان لصيد الشرشمان لعدة إعتبارات في مقدمتها الوضع المناخي للوادي والمنطقة عموما خلال هذه الفترة حيث يتسم الجو بالحرارة غير الشديدة والتي تساعد الشرشمان على الخروج الى سطح الأرض .وأفضل الأوقات للخروج لجلب الشرشمان،الذي يصنع منه طبق غذائي شهي تفضله العائلة الصحراوية بالجزائر عن ألذ المأكولات الأخرى هو وقت الظهر الى غاية العصر حيث يتوجه الصيادون ومعظمهم من غير المحترفين بل هواة وفضوليين الى الصحاري القريبة من العمران او البعيدة عنه وهم يحملون اكياس كتان لتجميع المحصول الذي لايقل في الخرجة الواحدة لشخص واحد عن 50الى 70 شرشمانه او عبادي كما يسميها البعض و زغدودي اذا كانت صغيرة.كما يفضل البعض صيد عدد قليل فقط للأطفال يوميا فيما يحترف عدد آخر لا باس به صيد الشرشمان ويعتبره مصدر رزقه الأساسي وهؤلاء الناس يتعاملون مع تجار كبار .وكلما حل شهر مايو تكثر باعة الشرشمان باسواق الوادي 650كم جنوب الجزائر العاصمة بأثمان معقولة حسب حجم الشرشمانة مابين 20الى 40دج للواحدة فيما يفضل آخرون صيده بانفسهم كون ذلك في متناولهم .وإضافة الى استهلاكه يعتبر الشرشمان ضروري في مسكن الأسرة الصحراوية كونه يلتهم العقارب وبالتالي الوقاية من اللسع العقربي المميت. .وأغلب من يمارس هذه الحرفة الشباب الذين يتحملون المشي في الكثبان الرملية والحرارة والعطش أحيانا وتتطلب عملية الصيد المحفوفة بمخاطر عدة تركيزا كبيرا لتجنب الحشرات الأخرى والافاعي الشبيهة به من حيث اللون وإن كان معظمم صطادي الشرشمان يصطادون حتى الأفاعي ويأكولونها بعد نزع الرأس منها لاعتقادهم انها تكسب صاحبها مناعة من سمها في حالة تعرضهم للسعاتها مستقبلا.إلا أن أكل الأفاعي بالوادي غيرمنتشر كما هو الحال مع أكل الشرشمان او الجراد بل محدود لدى عدد من الناس خاصة المتعلقين بالصحراء بالمعنى السوفي وهي المنطقة القاحلة التي تعيش فيها الأغنام ويشقى فيها الانسان.وبخصوص تصدير الشرشمان للخليج العربي والتي كما أشرنا تتكفل بها الوكالات السياحية بالمنطقة والتي تستخدم أيضا حسب معلومات استقتها الاخبارية من عدد من محترفي المهنة سابقا ثم تابوا عنها (حسب تصريحهم) ورفضوا كشف هوياتهم في إعداد وصفات سحرية ومعالجة المس بالجن والبرص وتباع بأسعار باهظة جدًا في أسواق الخليج وخاصة العربية (السعودية والامارات العربية المتحدة) عن طريق تجار يتعاملون مع اسواق دبي،كما أنها تهرب لمناطق اخرى بالعالم كالصين و اليابان وهونغ كونغ.وقد أصبحت هذه التجارة رائجة خاصة بعد ظهور المتدينين الجدد الذين يدعون معالجة الممسوسين والعاجزين و الهاربين بوصفات لايمكن ان توصف الا بالوهمية وتتضمن في كل الأحوال الشرشمان ويقول العارفون بهذا النوع من التجارة ان فائدته الموسمية لاتقل عن فائدة البطاطا خاصة ان الاقبال عليه لم يقتصر على المسافرين للخليج الذين ازداد وتضاعف اعدادهم عن السابق بل حتى مجيء التوانسة لاسواق الجزائر بشكل كبير وإكتشافهم للدور المهم للشرشمان جعلهم يقبلون عليه بدرجة لافتة.
